Clara Barton also wanted to help people who were affected by natural disasters. She made a branch of the Red Cross especially for Disaster Relief. She understood how natural disasters could affect the lives of people. The Disaster Relief squads all over the country bring supplies, such as food and water to the victims. An example of what they do was shown in the first ever disaster victims they helped, the fire victims in Michigan. The Red Cross gave them food, water, and blankets.
